Alex Sweeney

Managing Director

Alex was appointed as Managing Director of Complete Care in March 2015. He has extensive management experience, having previously been employed within Mitie working on large public sector outsourcing opportunities with central government.

Alex’s professional background has always centred upon the delivery of public services; he is passionate about leading Complete Care, and delivering exceptional, high quality care for all of its clients.

He graduated from Keele University in 2002 with BA (Hons) in Business Administration and Human Resource Management, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Alex has a strong track record in developing sound business strategy, organisational design and leading senior teams.

Shona Anderson

Shona began her nursing career in September 2000, having qualified from Strathclyde University.  Her first post was in the Intensive Care/High Dependency Unit at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, where she worked as a Band six nurse for seven years. Opportunity then led her south to Portsmouth, where she worked in a considerably larger Critical Care Unit at the Queen Alexandra Hospital. This experience allowed her to work with many Service personnel, which gave her a greater understanding of the fears and challenges faced at the sharp end of military life.

Having been at the critical end of so many individuals’ care and treatment, Shona’s professional development directed her towards caring for clients and patients in the community; working in Solent NHS as part of a busy Community Nursing team, delivering hands on clinical care, managing a nursing team with a remit in the Adult Safeguarding team.  

On joining Complete Care, Shona worked as a Regional Manager in the South, progressing to her current role as Head of Clinical Services in 2015. Her focus is on ensuring we maintain high standards of excellence in clinical care practice throughout the organisation.

Shona’s nursing role has allowed her the privilege to work with patients and clients who have had their own challenges and obstacles to overcome, through trauma, injury or condition. It is these challenges that have served the most to help her persevere, grow and become a better and more caring nurse and person.

Gail Wilkins

Gail initially joined Complete Care in 2000 as a personal care assistant working for a ventilated client.

In 2001 she was promoted to Care Manager, and having built up significant operational experience in the business, took on a role as Head of Operations in 2011.

In 2014 Gail took on a new opportunity to establish and manage our Live-in service, and earlier this year took up post in the Complete Care senior management team as Head of Performance, responsible for our operational teams across the business.

Part of her role also includes being a Registered Manager and the Nominated Individual for the company, as part of our registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).  Gail is responsible for supervising the management of our regulated service, for ensuring the quality of the services we provide and managing our CQC inspections.

Lianne Brown

Lead Nurse - Northern region

Lianne qualified as a registered general nurse in 2000 at Salford University, with a BSc (Hons) in Specialist Practice – Adult Nursing. She then commenced her nursing career in an acute intensive care unit, working as a staff nurse and sister within intensive care for six years.

Lianne left the National Health Service in 2006 and started work with Complete Care initially as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, progressing to Nurse Manager in 2009. She now manages a team of five nurses and a senior operations manager, reporting to our Head of Clinical Services.

Being a dedicated nurse, she retains an allocation of clients along with assessing new clients into the business. She works alongside local authorities and multidisciplinary teams in order to provide high quality, excellent, up to date care for our clients. Lianne’s overall aim is to promote independent living for her clients, enabling them to lead the lives they choose whist managing their long term conditions in a professional manner.

Tracy Edwards

Paediatric Clinical Lead

Tracy has significant experience in children’s intensive care, community nursing and hospice care.

Tracy qualified as a Registered Children’s Nurse in 2002, and worked in paediatric intensive care for eight years. In that time, she gained valuable experience and qualified as a Specialist Practitioner in Children’s Intensive Care, as well as working as a specialist retrieval/transport nurse.

Tracy joined Complete Care as a paediatric nurse specialist, and was shortly promoted to the position of paediatric Nurse Manager. This role included effectively prioritising and planning clinical nursing care for a caseload of children, whilst building successful working relationships with local primary care trust staff and commissioners.

Following a six month position working in hospice care, during which time Tracy gained invaluable insight into this unique environment, she took on the role of paediatric Clinical Lead for Complete Care.

Tracy’s current role sees her working together with the paediatric Nurse Managers and operational managers to lead and manage our paediatric complex care service, upholding our approach to providing excellence in care delivery, and continually developing the service.

Sarah Keeshan

Head of Business Services

Sarah joined Complete Care in 2002. With a background in recruitment, she first joined as a Recruitment Administrator before progressing to the role of Recruitment Manager. Having built up significant experience in this area and achieving her degree in project management, Sarah was ready for a new challenge, so moved in to the role of Rota Manager in 2010.

In 2013 Sarah was promoted to Head of Business Services working as part of the Complete Care senior management team, and is responsible for service planning, payroll, recruitment and general office services. 

As part of this role Sarah strives to ensure that all elements of business services remain effective, client centred and CQC compliant, whilst continually developing processes and procedures to drive efficiencies.

Jessica Jenkinson

Jess has worked in the health and social care sector for over ten years and has gained experience in a number of settings. Jess joined Complete Care as a Care Manager and swiftly moved into a Quality Care Manager role, ensuring that the business was compliant with the Care Quality Commission. Having gained further experience she then transferred into the role of Registered Manager for the Live-in side of the business.

Earlier this year Jess took up the role as Head of Business Development & Marketing, bringing with her a wealth of operational knowledge as well as an in-depth awareness of the sector. Jess has overall responsibility for sourcing and acquiring new business opportunities for Complete Care.
